OTTAWA – Franklin County Commissioners will ask for economic stimulus money for three road projects but said they’ll happy if they get funds for one. The county would like money to put another layer of asphalt on Labette Road, Delaware Road and Kingman Terrace between Idaho and Colorado roads near Pomona; a layer of asphalt on John Brown Road between Kentucky and Florida roads between Williamsburg and Princeton; and resurface a bridge on Sand Creek Road. The Kansas Department of Transportation, which is administering federal economic stimulus funds for transportation projects, will award the money by the end of the month.
