OTTAWA — It’s a theme as old as Boston – taxes and tea. Brad Heathman has organized an Ottawa Tea Party from 5 to 7 tonight at the Marais des Cygnes River bridge on Main Street. He said he’ll hand out pamphlets and dump tea bags in the river to protest high taxes, higher federal spending and bailouts. It’s part of a series of anti-tax tea parties held across the country today, which is the deadline to file income taxes.
