OTTAWA — Rural residents who don’t want to eat dust might have to eat a bit more out of their budgets. The sole bidder for dust-control chemicals for the county’s gravel roads asked for a slight increase yesterday. Those who want their roads treated each spring pay for the chemicals. The county will grade the roads before the dust-control chemicals are applied to the roads, Jim Haag, county public works director, said.
