OTTAWA — The Elizabeth Layton Center faces steeper cuts in state aid for community mental health services at a time when those services are needed more, said Diane Drake, Layton executive director. The center could lose up to another $400,000 because of state cuts, she said. The center may have to resort to a waiting list for services and cut its substance abuse programs. At Drake’s request, the county is asking area legislators to mitigate the cuts.
