OTTAWA — The legendary New York editor Horace Greeley said, “Go west, young man.” And thousands of Americans did. The Tallgrass National Prairie Park Preserve in Chase County celebrates the time when Americans first settled in the sea of grass called the Great Plains. And if you go west to visit the park, you may see some people you know. This summer, Ottawans Larry and Audrey Lintner and her parents, Gary and Ellen Sillett will serve as re-enactors. Audrey Lintner said they enjoy being volunteers at the Tallgrass Park. Lintner talked about the Tallgrass park Sunday morning on Community Perspective, KOFO’s weekly public affairs show.
