LOUISBURG — A public meeting about the future of k-68 in Miami and Franklin counties will be 5 to 7 Tuesday at Louisburg Middle School. A Kansas Department of Transportation engineering consultant is doing a corridor study of the highway from Ottawa to the Missouri line. KDOT, Franklin and Miami counties, Ottawa, Louisburg and Paola are looking at how to control development along the highway to prevent traffic bottlenecks. The study looks at land use, development and future traffic patterns along 39 miles of K-68.
