OTTAWA — The debate got heated Wednesday night during the Ottawa City Commission meeting. At stake is a proposed rezoning that would allow the building of a new video store at the northwest corner of Ninth and Main. Levi Dinkler, a representative for the developer, debated with a neighbor over the benefits of the proposed video store. Now is not the time for a small city like Ottawa to turn away a proposed $1 million business construction project. The commission voted unanimously to send the matter back to the city planning commission pending a traffic study and review of several other factors.
