OTTAWA — With the growing interest in wind and other types of energy, comes the challenge of making that compatible with established electrical systems. The Ottawa City Commission listened to a presentation by Jeff Oleson about an ordinance to address people who want to use alternative forms of energy while maintaining safety for customers and electrical workers. The commissioners will study the proposed ordinance for a period of time to fully understand how the established electrical grid will work side by side with alternative energy sources.
