TOPEKA — The Kansas Department of Health and Environment confirmed five new cases of the H1N1 swine flu for today. That brings the state’s total to 28 confirmed cases. Four of the newest cases are in Johnson and Wyandotte counties, where most of the confirmed cases have been found. No cases have been reported in Franklin County.
Franklin county health director Midge Ransom said she wants to keep it that way. She advised people to thoroughly and frequently wash their hands, and to be careful with their sneezes and coughs. You should also eat a healthy diet, drink lots of water and get plenty of rest, she said.
