OTTAWA — Area business and government officials heard a variety of Environmentally-themed presentations during Wednesday’s “Greening Our Future” summit hosted by Franklin County. The summit has a good turnout and offered some good ideas, said county commission chairman Ed Taylor. Coffey County’s curbside recycling program was of interest to Taylor but he said it would take Franklin County a while before such a program was adopted here. The summit focused on topics such as water issues, recycling
and biodiesel.
