OTTAWA — The Ottawa Cyclones came in second in the 4-A state softball tournament, losing to Riverton 3-0. The Cyclones got to the title game by upending Abilene 1-9. The Ottawa baseball team came in third at state Saturday by scoring five runs in the fifth inning and held on to a 9-8 win over Bishop Ward in the consolation. The Central Heights Vikings came in fourth at the 3-A state baseball tournament after losing to Silver Lake 10-5 in the consolation. In 3-A state girls’ softball action, Silver Lake bounced Osage City in the opening round and then won two more games to claim the state championship.
