OTTAWA — The county commissioners will honor the winners of the county coloring contest and the middle school essay contest at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Entries in the “Greening Our Future” coloring contest entirely covered the walls of the commission meeting room. Winners are, first, second and third:
First grade – Jesse McClelland, Wellsville; Katie Manis, Garfield; Hannah Junet, Central Heights.
Second grade – Paige Ferguson, Lincoln; Mia Tomason, Lincoln; Haley Kline, Wellsville.
Third grade – Julie Weien, Appanoose; Jaylen Boileau, Lincoln, Cory Hack, Lincoln.
Fourth grade – Saige McClay, Eugene Field; Chelsea King, Central Heights; Cara Coons, Wellsville.
Fifth grade – Hannah McIntosh, Central Heights; Brynn Ferguson, Garfield; Sarah Ward, Garfield.
The winner of the middle school essay contest is Madison Alexander of Ottawa Middle School; second is Courtney Houston, Ottawa; and third is Alex Stepp, Ottawa.
