OTTAWA — Being in the right place at the right time….that’s what happened to Ottawa city commissioner Sara Humm on the Sunday a week ago that abortion doctor George Tiller was killed. Humm said she was getting constant updates on the murder case when she heard that a suspect had been caught on I-35 near Gardner. She and her mother got in a car and drove up I-35. With her cell phone, she took a photo of suspect Scott Roeder’s car, parked along I-35, being picked up by a towing company. Roeder was already under arrest by the time she arrived, she said. Her photo bounced around the Internet where it was spotted by the Kansas City Star and Wichita Eagle. Her photograph taken with her cell phone has also been shown on the Associated Press. As far as is known, Humm’s photograph is the only existing one taken at the arrest scene.
