Franklin County was under the gun again on Saturday night. The southern part of the county was under a tornado warning for almost two hours. The original warning was issued at ten after six on Saturday night when a funnel was spotted near Beto Junction. The storm moved into the Franklin county area, which placed Williamsburg, and the surrounding areas in the warning. At six forty five the national weather service re-issued the tornado warning for the southern part of Franklin County and then again issued a warning until 8 o’clock for the east central part of Franklin County. During the weather event there were two confirmed tornados…one was confirmed at six ten Saturday night four miles southwest of Waverly. The second confirmed tornado occurred 1 mile southwest of Princeton. As of this morning there were no confirmed reports of damage from either tornado.
