ARGICOLA — Three people from Williamsburg were injured Tuesday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on Old Highway 50 near Agricola in Coffey County. Edward Allan Mazzolini, 32, was driving his pickup west on Old 50 when he swerved to avoid a deer. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Mazzolini’s pickup left the road and spun into the ditch. His truck then rolled over, went through a barbed-wire fence and ended up in a field.
Troopers say Mazzolini was injured when he was thrown out when his truck rolled over. He was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, where he was treated and released. Two passengers, 17-year-old Richard Stack and 15-year-old Turner Anderson, were taken to Coffey County Hospital in Burlington. The hospital said it couldn’t release information on the two teens.
