GARNETT — If you want to see the Libertyfest fireworks in Garnett Saturday night, park in the North Lake park area. The Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce said you shouldn’t park along U.S. 59, Park Road or K-31 to see the fireworks. The fireworks display and parking at North Lake are free. Police do a good job in getting everyone out of the park after the fireworks display, the chamber said. The Garnett Area Community Band will play a concert of patriotic music prior to the fireworks at 8 p.m. Saturday. Donations for next year’s fireworks will be welcome.
