TOPEKA — A case of H1N1 swine flu has been confirmed in Miami County. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said the Miami County case involves a child. A case of swine flu has also been confirmed in Crawford County, the KDHE said. The two new cases raises the number of confirmed cases occurring in Kansas to 132. No cases have been confirmed in Franklin County but cases have been confirmed in Douglas and Johnson counties. Franklin County health director Midge Ransom said hand-washing is one of the best defenses against swine flu and other diseases.
