GARNETT — County officials say the new Anderson County law enforcement center is done but is $55,000 over budget. County counselor James Campbell said the county has a reserve fund for the new $5.5 million facility and will be used to cover the $55,000.
Some changes in the electrical system and other equipment contributed to the increase in costs, Campbell said. The new law enforcement center is being funded through bonds and a half-cent sales tax.
