OTTAWA — Mark Aaron Sherman, 24, Ottawa, will likely appear in Franklin County District Court later this week. Sherman is in Franklin County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with Friday night’s shooting death of 19-year-old Skye Nicole Cadarette. When the Franklin County Attorney’s office collects and finalizes documents relating to the case, a court hearing will be scheduled. Ottawa Police Chief Dennis Butler says an autopsy has been done. It’s too early to comment on motives for the shooting, he said. Butler said he believse the shooting is Ottawa’s first murder in about 13 years.
