OTTAWA — The kaboom wasn’t doom. Ottawa firefighters were called late Sunday night to check out a loud explosion near Massasoit and North Cedar. Assistant Fire Chief Richard Oglesby said that someone set off some fireworks. The explosion didn’t cause any damage but it was loud enough to wake up the neighborhood, he said.
