OTTAWA — The family of 89-year-old Jack Christian said four fingers on his left hand have been amputated. Christian was injured July 7 when his pickup was rear-ended on K-68 in eastern Ottawa. Christian was taken by helicopter to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Surgeons were able to save Christian’s thumb and that he is recovering, his family said.
