OTTAWA — The 144th annual Franklin County Fair and Rodeo begins in earnest tonight.
The youth rodeo starts at 6 at the fairground rodeo arena. Franklin County Extension agent Jo Ellen Arnold said 4-Hers have been bringing their animals today. Some judging has already been done, she said. The traditional fair barbecue will be 5- 8 p.m. Thursday night, with the URA rodeo following the barbecue continuing to Friday night.
