OVERBROOK — An 81-year-old Overbrook man was taken to Stormont-Vale Hospital in Topeka following a three-vehicle crash one mile west of Overbrook on U.S. 56 Monday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol said two vehicles were stopped in the eastbound lane of U.S 56 at a highway work zone. Troopers said Morris Bennett, Overbrook, was driving east on U.S. 56 when he ran into the back of one of the stopped vehicles — a car driven by Jessica French, Carbondale. Her car was shoved into the back of a truck driven by James Bohi, Wellsville. Neither French nor Bohi were injured.
