TOPEKA — A film crew for Germany’s largest public television network is in Kansas to film a documentary on the Santa Fe Trail. Kansas Travel and Tourism director Becky Blake said the Germans will do a 45-minute cultural and travel show of the trail between New Mexico and Missouri to be shown this winter in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The trail runs through Osage County and southern Douglas County. However, most of the filming in Kansas will be at Fort Larned and Dodge City.
