POMONA — Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a traffic accident involving a sheriff’s patrol car north of Pomona. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Keri Harris, 31, Overbrook was driving a pickup north on Colorado Road when the patrol car driven by Jerrod Fredricks, 37, Ottawa, pulled out from a stop sign on Reno Road in front of Harris. Troopers said Harris’s truck T-boned the patrol car. Harris was taken by private vehicle to Ransom Memorial Hospital. Fredricks was taken by Franklin County EMS to Ransom Memorial Hospital. Both Harris and Fredricks were treated and released. Because the accident involved a sheriff’s patrol car, the highway patrol worked the accident.
