OTTAWA — Franklin County and Wellsville USD 289 have struck a deal to keep a school resource officer in Wellsville schools part-time. Sheriff Craig Davis told county commissioners Wednesday that the school district will pay 60 percent of the cost of a full-time SRO. Davis said his department would provide an 60-percent or better SRO.
Ottawa police picked up a grant to keep an SRO in Ottawa schools. Other schools have had to drop their SROs because of state school aid cuts.
