OTTAWA — Tonight, the Ottawa planning commission will deal with a controversial rezoning request that would allow a video rental store at the northwest corner of Ninth and Main. Although the developer wants two entrances to the site, city planning and codes director Wynndee Lee said a traffic study shows only one entrance would be needed and that would be on Main Street. Developer Levi Dinkla would like to rezone the area from C-1 to C-2, which allows a wider range of retail uses at the corner.
The city commission asked for a study of the impact on traffic at the corner.
The planners will meet tonight at 7 at city hall.
