OTTAWA — Mark Aaron Sherman pleaded innocent Monday afternoon in connection with the July 10 shooting death of 19-year-old Sky Cadorette. Sherman’s attorney Frederick Meier asked for a jury trial. District Judge Thomas Sachse set a trial date for Dec. 15 in Franklin County District Court. The trial is scheduled to last four days. Meier told Sachse he wants to ask potential jurors about the impact of publicity concerning the case. Sherman is accused of shooting Cadorette during a party in the 700 block of South Hickory in Ottawa. He remains in the Franklin County Jail.
