OTTAWA — It’s one potato, two potato for a proposed video store at Ninth and Main. After the Ottawa City Commission passed the hot-potato proposal back to the planning commission, the planners passed it back to the city commission. City commissioners will re-examine the proposal to rezone the northwest corner of Ninth and Main to allow the construction of Family Video and a retail center when they meet at 4 p.m. Monday at city hall. Neighbors have filed a protest petition against the rezoning. Although the city planning staff urged that the proposal be denied, the planning commission voted 4-3 to recommend the rezoning.
