OTTAWA — Ottawa police received several theft reports before the weekend. Someone broke into a house in the 900 block of Hamblin and took several items. Someone burglarized an unlocked and parked car in the 500 block of South Sycamore. A cell phone was taken from a desk drawer while a Spring Hill woman was at work in the 1100 block of West 15th. A cell phone and personal items were taken from a house in the 1100 block of West 17th. The Ottawa woman who reported the thefts told police she knew the suspect. Several tools were taken from a detached garage in the 500 block of South Oak Street.
