OTTAWA — Joni Scribner and her children are the newest Franklin County Habitat for Humanity family. Habitat will help Scribner build a new home at Seventh and South Sycamore. A wall-raising ceremony will take place and work will begin at the site Sept. 12. Scribner is the lead custodian at Eisenhower Elementary School and she saw a Habitat flier at Eisenhower last December and applied for the program. She has five-year-old twins, Michael and Janie. Habitat’s Lisa Rivers says the group is looking for volunteers to help build the house each Saturday through the rest of the year. Call Rivers at (785) 893-2676 or Cindy Courter at (913) 980-7978.
