GARNETT — School districts are preparing for the H1N1 swine flu. Anderson County USD 365 school nurse Marcia Peine said the district has a policy for handling a flu outbreak. USD 365 superintendent Don Blome said he expects to keep schools open if the flu strikes. He says letters were sent to parents about the district’s prevention measures. Central Heights superintendent Jim Reece said his district is forming a health committee to draft a policy for dealing with the flu. Crest superintendent Lee Jones said teachers will receive educational material on swine flu. Anderson County Health Eepartment nurse Teri Vaughn said she will visit area schools and daycares.
