OTTAWA — A public meeting on a plan to handle growth and development along K-68 will be 5 to 7 Thursday afternoon at the county annex. The K-68 corridor plan looks at future growth and development along the 39-mile stretch of the highway between Louisburg and Ottawa and how to deal with it. Ottawa City Planning and Codes Director Wynndee Lee said K-68 between I-35 and Nevada Terrace would be the most likely area of growth. This afternoon’s meeting is a come-and-go format and the public can look at exhibits or talk to engineers from the Kansas Department of Transportation or the consulting company that did the study.
