EDGERTON–The Kansas Department of Transportation has applied for a 50 million dollar federal grant to build a new Kansas City Intermodal Facility near Edgerton. The facility will transfer semi-trailers and containers between trains and trucks. The property for the intermodal was de-annexed by Gardner and then picked up by Edgerton.
