HOMEWOOD — This week’s Franklin County Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week involves a burglary near Homewood. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is investigating a burglary and theft that occurred in the 2000 block of Idaho Road on the night of Aug. 6. Tools taken include a model MXW309 Maxus wire welder, a Makita grinder, a Makita electric drill, a Stihl chainsaw, and a DeWalt 14-inch chop saw. The loss was more than $1,600. A photo was taken of the vehicle and subjects and will be posted on KOFO’s Web site.
