OTTAWA — The second annual Hot Rod Rodney White Golf Tournament raised $11,000 for two children who need medical treatment. Rodney White’s mom Dana said that the tournament will help pay the expenses for the families of four-year-old Joshua Berr, Williamsburg; and four-year-old Delaney Murphy, Ottawa. It was cold golfing but spirits were warm, she said. She said she appreciates the support of the community and those who were on the committee that organized the event. Last year’s event was to raise money for Rodney White, who survived cancer, and his family decided to continue the event to help the other two children this year. White said she’s looking forward for the third annual tournament next year.
