OTTAWA — This year, it will be a very merry Victorian Christmas. Chamber of Commerce president Tom Weigand said downtown and business groups hope to establish Ottawa as a Victorian Christmas Central. The idea will be tried out for the first time Dec. 5 in conjunction with the annual Christmas parade. Main Sstreet between Second and Fourth streets and Third Street between Main and Walnut will be blocked off for the parade and Victorian Christmas events, he said. There will be Victorian re-enactors, Victorian-style entertainment, food and other activities.
