OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said it is helping with an investigation into an incident involving an Ottawa University student early this morning. The sheriff’s office says two white males tried to attack the OU student at Ninth and Poplar. The student told officers that as he ran away, they yelled racist comments. Sheriff’s officers answered the call because Ottawa police were busy handling other calls.
