OTTAWA — Princeton has asked to buy road salt and sand from Franklin County for the winter. Commission chair Ed Taylor told public works director Jim Haag that the proposal would help the cities in the county. Haag replied that as long as sales and storage for the cities doesn’t get too big, he has no problem with. He said that isn’t likely anytime soon. County administrator Lisa Johnson said she’ll write a contract similar to one the county has with Wellsville to buy and store road salt for that city.
