GARNETT — An 18-year-old Garnett woman was flown to KU Medical Center following an early Saturday morning accident on U.S. 59. The Kansas Highway Patrol said Hailey Ladewig was driving a pickup north on U.S. 59 a half-mile north of 2350 Road when she crossed the road and went into the ditch. Troopers said she struck the guard rail head-on and the guard rail came through the truck. She was thrown out.
