SALINA — In high school volleyball, Paola held off upset-minded Ottawa 25-19 and 25-15 Saturday in the 4-A regional title game at Spring Hill. Earlier, the Cyclones knocked off top-seeded Spring Hill. The Lady Panthers advance to the state tournament at Salina, where they’ll play top-seeded Abilene, Girard and St. James of Lenexa in pool play on Friday. Central Heights needed a tie-breaker to outlast Osage City in the 3-A regional at Wellsville Saturday. The Vikings advance to the 3-A state meet at Salina. They’ll play Atchison County, Frontenac, and Southwestern Heights in pool play on Friday.
