OTTAWA — The Ottawa City Commission has declared this month as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Franklin County coordinator for Women’s Transitional Care Services Melissa Haenchen said the proclamation focuses attention on battered women and their children and the solid support her program has received from the businesses and community.
