OTTAWA — In July, the county heard the song ‘Stormy Weather.’ but it won’t hear the song ‘London Bridges Falling Down’ now. County public works director Jim Haag said the county will receive money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to repair storm damage to a bridge on Utah Road over Walnut Creek between Pawnee and Sand Creek roads. Flooding eroded the embankment under the south abutment, he said. Because of the FEMA money, the county will pay only 5 percent of the cost, which could be $40,000 to $80,000, he said.
