OSAWATOMIE — The Osawatomie Fire Department made two runs prior to the weekend. The department said lightning struck a house in the 39000 block of 39150 West 311th Street Thursday. The owner had put out a small fire in the laundry room wall. Fire fighters used a thermal imager to verify that the fire was out. Firefighters also put out a pickup truck fire in the 1100 block of Pacific to a report of a vehicle fire. The cause was found to be fuel-related because of a recent repair.
