GARNETT — Investigations into two house fires in Anderson County last month are still on hold as officers wait on reports from the state fire marshal’s office. On Sept. 13, an empty two-story home in Kincaid was set on fire. There are no suspects. On Sept. 9, several rural fire departments had to fight a fire at a house near Lone Elm. Anderson County Sheriff’s detective Vern Valentine said the fire was arson and there is a suspect.
Valentine said reports from the state fire marshal will likely be turned over to the county in the next 30 days.
