TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of health and environment says h1n1 swine flu activity remains high in kansas. The number of Kansans who report having influenza-like illnesses is nearly three times the normal level. The KDHE said that the absence rates at some schools is running two to three times the normal rate. Franklin County health director Midge Ransom said you should wash hands and avoid obviously sick people to prevent the spread of the flu.
