COLONY — The Colony City Council plans to rip down two dilapidated business buildings and replace them with a downtown park. The city had bought the downtrodden buildings and had planned to make them a community center but couldn’t get grant money to rehabilitate the buildings. The city is hiring an engineer to protect a common wall between one of the buildings and Colony Foods. The city hopes to have the project done by the spring. The city could use the site for a community center later.
