OSAWATOMIE – An Olathe elementary teacher from rural Osawatomie has been named to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Christy Levings was elected vice chair for a three-year term. The board advances the quality of teaching and learning by developing professional standards for teaching, and a voluntary national board certification. She is a former president of the Kansas National Education.
