GARNETT — The Garnett Fire Department recently received two grants from grant from Conoco Phillips. A $3,000 capital improvement grant will be used to improve the drainage at the Garnett fire station. A $500 planning grant will be used for the annual chili and soup supper. The grant was snagged by volunteer firefighter Chuck Gettler, who is an employee of Conoco Phillips.
