WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts said a new federal study by a division of the Department of Health and Human Service of the a health care reform bill offered by Nevada senator and Democratic leader Harry Reid will cost Americans more and cut the number of doctors and hospitals that will take Medicare and make health care more dicey. However, Democrats said the same study shows the Reid bill will extend the life of Medicare by nine years and won’t reduce seniors access to health care. FamiliesUSA.org said the bill will increase the number of Kansans who can receive health insurance coverage.
